Easter in Moab Days 3 & 4

(Sorry for the interruption in my story, here. We got busy last week! So here's what happened on the last two days of our trip to Moab....better late than never, right?)

So on Resurrection Sunday, we woke up and had our own little mini-Church service at our campsite. Then it was time for Easter baskets and an Easter egg hunt! The girls had fun and Sean and I enjoyed watching them all work together to locate 32 eggs :-)

Paige even got in on the fun...though she just kept "finding" the same egg and carefully placing it back in her basket over and over again.

We went into Moab and did some quick souvenir shopping. Everybody got a shirt to remember Moab by. We found some great deals on sale racks! But after less than two hours of shopping in town we were ready to enjoy some nature again.

After a quick picnic lunch on the side of the road in Arches National Park, we went for another hike! This time we saw several different arches and the girls did great hiking another couple of miles.

After hiking, we made our way back into the town of Moab. We ended up all taking a nap in the car in a parking lot until the Thai restaurant opened at 5 p.m. We ate our Pad Thai (our favorite fare lately) and then spent some time playing in a courtyard area by the Visitor Center downtown.

Sunday night was our last night camping. Most of our camping neighbors had already packed up and gone home so we had the campground mostly to ourselves. We all slept hard Sunday night and then got up Monday morning and started tearing down camp...two hours later, we were finally packed up and we headed out to Denny's for breakfast before driving out of town. The waitress at Denny's was very nice not to wrinkle her nose at our stench, which I'm sure permeated the entire section we were seated in! (No showers in several days, you know!)

On our way home we took a little detour and drove into the Southern entrance to Canyonlands National Park. Honestly, it was probably some of the prettiest scenery we had seen...but we were so tired and had seen so much pretty country that we didn't take as many pictures or even get out of the car!

We got home Monday evening - tired, dirty, stinky, and grumpy. But it was a great trip and we had a blast! What a memorable and fun Easter Vacation!
