    WOO HOO! Now I have permission to tell EVERYONE....although Chad couldn't wait and has already told everyone at the hangar! The kids are so excited for you. Josiah said that it will be his best birthday ever - since you're due around his birthday!

    Congrats to you!! I'm a regular reader in Olathe, KS and just love your blog. Can't wait for the coming months ahead and especially the new arrival in December. I'm glad you are in Oaxaca now. My folks lived in Mexico City for 5 years and I remember them talking of Oaxaca fondly. They even took me there when I was visiting them once. I think you'll love it there, really. Keep up the good work you are doing- and again, cheers from Kansas!

I'm just gushing over here.  My second-born took a big step today and made a decision for Christ!  We were having a talk in the car on the way to the store about heaven and next thing I know she's over there quietly folding her hands and whispering a prayer to Jesus. When she was done, she looked over at me with a big smile and said, "I have so many blessings from God, Mommy!" If you can't beat 'em....

Brooklyn can't seem to resist writing on the walls. I finally decided to put an end to the battle.... Now she has her own special place in her bedroom to be as creative as she wants (within reason). This can be painted over and it gives her some boundaries while still allowing her to be "creative." I'm not sure she'll have any interest in writing on the wall now that it isn't against the rules but I sure had fun painting on the wall. I'm tempted to paint myself a square to doodle and scribble on.

That one time when we went interior...

A few weeks ago, I had an opportunity to go along with Sean on a survey trip interior.    I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into, but I'd been wanting to go interior for a long time. We live in a pretty modern city that is nothing like the villages Sean flies to each day, and I wanted to see that world, meet those people. This was a crazy trip to volunteer to go on, and if I'd known what I was getting into, I'd have said "no way!"  I decided to go rather spontaneously and then spent the next three days freaking out.  I didn't let myself talk myself out of it, though, and I'm glad I didn't.   This trip changed my life. A bit too dramatic?  Maybe.  But I'm telling you that three weeks later, I'm  still  processing what I saw and experienced on that trip.   We flew deep into "the heart of Borneo"  to check the river for possible future MAF service in one of the most isolated villages in Central Kalimantan (a 2.5 hour trip upriv...
