TGIF!

Friday morning in our school room.

It's Friday!  We're really glad it's Friday. Usually, Fridays are pizza and movie nights but I still haven't been able to find flour.  It's been a month or more since there has been butter or flour in the store and my extra stashes of both are all gone now.  Making the pizza dough will be sorta hard without flour!

I've recently learned of a place downtown that sells bulk flour (oh, the irony that I was passing that very store multiple times with my parents and somehow missed it - Mom and Dad it's on the souvenir street that we wandered for two days!) So...I'll be going out later today in search of flour, I guess. I'm still hoping my grocery store will have the good (i.e. non-buggy) kind and I won't have to drive all the way to the other side of town. We're on our last block of cheese too - I guess it's time for a trip to Jakarta!  I'll stock up on our way back through the capital city after our America Vacation.

That's what Jakarta is good for - stocking up on cheese and other ingredients we can't get here and maybe eating at Chili's or Burger King!  I actually like Jakarta, even though it's a crowded, polluted city.  I don't mind the long taxi rides and I have learned to just go to the one mall in town that I know (it's HUGE and has EVERYTHING) and keep it simple.  They have the most amazing grocery store there.  Of course, the next time I'm there to shop will be after a trip to America - I'll be both overindulged from our vacation and jet-lagging...maybe I won't enjoy it so much then. ;-)

This post is just a bit of a ramble this Friday morning as I wait for Brooklyn to finish her schoolwork so we can then go on another Great Flour Hunt!

Three sounds I'm thankful for this morning....
39.  Birds chirping outside...so pretty.
40. Listening to the George Winston station on jango.com.  Love peaceful piano music playing as a background to my day, it blends nicely with the birdsong outside and the little girl jabber inside!
41.  My mom's sweet recorded voice reading a book to Madison.  It's a treasured book given as a birthday gift.
