Update!

Whew!  Busy week! I wanted to send out a quick update, though I don't have any cool pictures like Sean does ;-)

  • Happy Birthday to my favorite husband and bestest friend in the whole wide world!  I'm so proud of you and I love this life we live together. I'll never tire of laughing with you and I think we have the best inside jokes of any couple out there. I love getting old with you!  And no, I still am not letting you spend your birthday money on a nose hair trimmer.  Not that you don't need one, but really, you aren't that old yet.  Get something a little less old-geezery for just one more year, would ya?
  • We made it safely to Palangkaraya almost one week ago already.  Sean has been busy with flight check-out and loving every minute of it.  It's still a little surreal to believe that we're really here!
  • I'm exhausted lately.  Being a full-time Mommy again has proved to be more challenging than I expected!  But I love it.
  • We're in the process of getting our future house ready to move in to.  We have another week or so before our container from Java gets here with all our furniture, so we're staying with our friends and fellow MAFers, the Persenaires, until then.  Hopefully, we'll get some painting and cleaning done in the house before our stuff gets here so things will be all ready for us to settle in the moment that container arrives.
  • I may have acclimated to the temperatures here. It doesn't seem as unbearably hot here in Palangkaraya as I remembered from our visit over Christmas. (Or, maybe it's just the "cool" season at the moment.) Don't get me wrong, it is still hot.  And humid. And yes, I do escape to our air conditioned bedroom on several occasions throughout the day. Praise the Lord for a little AC relief!  But it's not as bad as you think...or maybe it is, but don't burst my bubble - I think I may be getting tougher here.  I need to get tougher when it comes to heat and humidity.
  • The girls are all doing well.  It was a little rough at the beginning of the week - lots of adjustments going on. Things have smoothed out some, though we're still in a major transition stage.  I can't wait for our lives to settle down some.  They can't either!
Thanks again for your prayers!  One of these days, maybe I'll have a picture to post and something more substantial and profound (or at least humorous, my favorite) to share with you.
