Answered Prayer(s)
Well, it's our Friday night here and I'm just praising the Lord! I know many of you took praying for us as a serious matter...and it has made all the difference in the world! Not long after I posted all those prayer requests, things changed. Drastically.
- I am now feeling human again! I feel 100% better than I did earlier this week. The night after I asked for prayer I had the most awesome sleep and woke up feeling much more energized. I also got some good medical advice (hard to come by in this neck of the woods) and started on an antibiotic that seems to be doing the trick.
- We finished up our language study (for now)! Sean and I both passed our evaluations just fine and are breathing a little easier knowing that we don't need to worry about any more homework for a while.
- We're done packing! Our container arrived (nearly) on time and the guys that were helping us - both Indonesians and fellow MAF'ers - were able to get everything packed in record time. That container is on its way to Borneo and we hope to see it again in 15 days or so.
We're feeling a lot less stress. All we have left to do is to throw a few more things into our suitcases in the morning and we can be on our way. Our flight leaves at around 5 p.m. in a town about 2 hours away, so our plan is to take it easy in the morning and then leave around 11 a.m. so that we can have lunch and enjoy the mall in that town before heading to the airport.
Our girls are doing okay. Paige is a little on the naughty side, but that's typical of every end-of-the-week. I'm looking forward to having a more settled life and good, quality time with her. She needs a little discipline and consistency in her life ;-) Maddie is going to miss her best friend Reece, but other than that she's excited to move. I think she has heard us talk about this move for so long that she imagines it must be something very wonderful that she should be happy about!
Brooklyn is honestly struggling. She's really sad about leaving friends and missing the last three weeks of school. She's got such a tender heart and when she makes friends, she puts her heart and soul into it. So she's a little heartbroken right now. Her classmates and teachers and other school friends have all commented to me several times how much they'll miss her. She's such a sweetheart and so friendly with everybody -she knows more people than I do! Brooklyn has always been the one to make special friends wherever we go - which makes it hard for me to see her cry over a move...again.
Obviously, there's a whole new batch of stresses awaiting us in Palangkaraya, but we're taking it one day at a time ;-) God is good. He has been so faithful throughout this whole process. I know He'll provide all that we need on the other side of this move just as perfectly as He has on this side.
Thank you for your prayers. Keep it up!
Thankful for the answered prayers. Hope you guys have arrived safe and sound!
