So Long Ordinary

Whew!  Busy week! I wanted to send out a quick update, though I don't have any cool pictures like Sean does ;-) Happy Birthday to my favorite husband and bestest friend in the whole wide world!  I'm so proud of you and I love this life we live together. I'll never tire of laughing with you and I think we have the best inside jokes of any couple out there. I love getting old with you!  And no, I still am not letting you spend your birthday money on a nose hair trimmer.  Not that you don't need one, but really, you aren't that  old yet.  Get something a little less old-geezery for just one more year, would ya? Well, it's our Friday night here and I'm just praising the Lord!  I know many of you took praying for us as a serious matter...and it has made all the difference in the world!  Not long after I posted all those prayer requests, things changed.  Drastically. I am now feeling human again!  I feel 100% better than I did earlier this week.  The night after I asked for prayer I had the most awesome sleep and woke up feeling much more energized.  I also got some good medical advice (hard to come by in this neck of the woods) and started on an antibiotic that seems to be doing the trick.   We finished up our language study (for now)!  Sean and I both passed our evaluations just fine and are breathing a little easier knowing that we don't need to worry about any more homework for a while.   We're done packing!  Our container arrived (nearly) on time and the guys that were helping us - both Indonesians and fellow MAF'ers - were able to get everyt...

Hey!  Wow.  We're in the middle of a huge move and it's been a tough one.  I can't overemphasize enough how faithful God has been through this past month or so, but as the rubber is really beginning to meet the road, we find ourselves coming up against some opposition. Moving anywhere is hard, but this time it feels...harder. I feel a lot more spiritual and even physical attack than I have in any other move we've made...and that's saying something. So, I'm asking for prayer.  Here are some specific things we'd love you to pray with us about, if you are so inclined: Health.  Mine in particular.  I've been sick this past week.  A bad cold followed by a sinus infection followed up by an ear infection.  I cannot remember ever having ear or sinus infections in my adult life but today I just feel run down and defeated.  I'm struggling to really put my mind to anything because I don't feel well, and it leaves Sean carrying more of the load at a time...
