Pictures from the past two weeks!
Daily photos tend to go out the window when you are in the middle of a move! But I did try to take some pictures so I'll just share them all right here...in no particular order whatsoever!
Fire! We had a ton of junk on our property that needed burned. So, reluctantly (ha,ha) Sean built a huge fire. He not only burned all the excess wood and trash, he also managed to burn his fleece jacket in several spots. It was already in need of replacing, but now, with holes all over his coat, he just looks like a hobo...or a missionary!
Paige really had fun playing on the top half of our recliner while we packed. She looks somewhat confused in this picture, though, doesn't she? Can't imagine why she might feel a little confused with all that was going on around her! Good thing kids are so resilient :-)
Speaking of confused! Maddie found ways to entertain herself while Mommy and Daddy packed.
Brooklyn had a loose tooth! And, contrary to what the picture below might suggest, she still does. Daddy did go a little crazy - he was sure that tooth needed to come out that night...but I talked him down. Brooklyn is still wiggling the tooth, but she's really not anxious for it to come out. The whole thing is a little weird and strange to her. We'll let you know when it finally comes out!
Yumminess. This is an Apple Puff Pancake. I've been making it a lot these days. We love it. And it's a very simple breakfast. When we were still in our house, I'd make it in my cast iron skillet - a thrift store find that I fell in love with! Seriously, I could cook with a cast iron skillet all the time....so useful!
Sean re-installed a new toilet in our laundry room/half bathroom. We'd taken it out for space, but it needed to go back in for the tenants to use. Unfortunately, the toilet we took out was so frozen to the ground in our junk pile outside that it just broke in half when Sean went to get it! So...we bought a new toilet. Sean had to go under the house to do some plumbing...see how excited he was about that?!
Now you can see why Sean was so thrilled to go down into our crawl space! It looks pretty tight and uncomfortable down there! Luckily, his wife was smart and helped him save going down a second time :-) The toilet works beautifully, by the way!
Duke went to live with my Uncle Steve a couple of Sundays ago. We knew he'd be gone when we got home that afternoon, so we let Duke in to play one last time before church. The girls loved on him good and we all said our good-byes. I was very glad that my uncle came and got Duke while we weren't home. There would have been many more tears if we'd seen him go. Duke, by the way, is doing great in his new home. We hear he's chewed just about everything in sight and dug some new holes, but he's happy and so are his new owners, as far as I can tell. The whole thing worked out really well. I'm sure we'll get to see him again and we're glad to know he has a great new home.
Empty. Well, it's done. Thank You, Lord, for the many great memories here! Now, we move on to what's next in this crazy adventure called missionary life....

Oh you guys! SO thankful for everything, sad but happy for you! Immediately I need that apple recipe. Had cake in a coffee cup the other day in a much needed dessert craving. Come hang out soon!
